Just a reminder that the American Cancer Society's Koolauloa "Relay for Life" will be this Friday, May 22 at 6 p.m. through Saturday, May 23 at 6 a.m., at the Hauula Playground.

The local fundraising event — with Kahale Charles as chair, and Bae Aumua as co-chair — is part of a national campaign by more than 3.5 million people across the United States to "celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much."

According to the local group's web site at http://www.relayforlife.org/koolauloahi, the event still needs volunteers "to help set-up and break down" the main tents on Friday night and Saturday morning. Contact Charles at 398-6269, or Aumua at 277-6801
