The Kahuku High varsity football team will hold a fundraising carnival at the school, with net proceeds going toward purchasing new helmets. Kahuku Athletic Director Joe Whitford explained that last season there were a number of concussions, and new football helmets cost about $300 each. "We want to try to get 25 new ones," he said.
