How awesome that is for all of those that helped to clean up all of those graveyards. I remember going to the one behind of the temple to help clean and decorate my aunty's grave. And the yes, the haole koa really ruined alot of the graves in that area...I remember being to the Paakea Cemetary is with my cousins to clean and decorate their tutu's grave, but I didn't know about the other sites. Very interesting story!

I had no idea three of those cemeteries were there. Thank you for this article, and for all the hard work of the families and volunteers.

This is great ... we all need to be made aware of the locations of the graveyards of our Kupuna. Anything that adds to the awareness of our community of those who came before us and sacrificed that we can enjoy the blessings of this beautiful place needs to made known to us often. Is there some type of effort that organizes volunteers to go and clean these graves on a regular basis? I would like to participate if there is.
